Introducing Medisoft V14

Medisoft’s practice management solutions are comprehensive solutions designed to heighten productivity, office efficiency, and increase cash flow. All of this at an affordable price.

Listed are some of the major upgrades of Version 14.

UB04 Capable

Out of the Box, Medisoft 14 suppresses the UB04 option. You can also uncheck this option and all UB fields will be available. Condition, occurrence and values can all be completed with the UB04 claims. Paper submission for UB04 is also available.

Diagnosis Codes

Medisoft 14 now has the ability to hold 8 diagnosis codes per patient. It automatically displays 4 but an option is available to store 8.

Patient Quick Entry

Combines patient and case entry into one easy, customizable screen.

Administrative Dashboard

View logged in users in all practices, can also see the tables being used by which users. Other quick-view statistics are customizable. All items in this can be printed or exported to CSV file. (Only in Network Professional Version)

Supports Templates

Example: UB04 Templates, Patient, Cash Patients. This allows the user to only view fields they need and/or use. This can be set to a default for creating or editing a patient. User also has the ability to link a custom report to this screen, pull a day-sheet, view multimedia and add patient to waitlist in Office Hours for appointments.

Power Tools

Change procedure codes to "fix all" values you define as "bad" so that you do not have to change each individual record.

Task Scheduler

Can now run file maintenance, rebuild indexes, pack data and calculate balances all on your specified schedule. This means you have the option to have the task run when the staff is not there as some task will considerably slow Medisoft's functionality.

Global Surgical Procedure (GSP)

“Follow-up” visits are automatically billed at zero for a time the user specifies. Most follow up visits are not billable and based on the procedure, this may only last for 30 days, 60 days, etc. after the initial visit. Some un-related procedures may be done during follow up visits and these just simply have to be hand changed to the dollar amount for that procedure.

Office Hours

Check alerts button will show on appointments that have alerts. When you click on this, it will display the alerts – one of which is GSP – so you can view it straight from the appointment book.

Payments and Collections

In Apply Payment & Collections screen you can access a read-only list of transaction. The user can also see totals for all practices and specify the date range for these totals. (claims, statements, etc) The user can also see the average number of appointments by date and average examination time per patient.

Also graph trends of data the user chooses and save the graph image. Alerts are also available. The user is allowed to set up values as boundaries for an alert to occur. Ex: If Accounts Receivable exceeds a specified value, an alert will pop up.

Upgrade Incentive

Medisoft has made it more advantageous to upgrade annually by lowering the price for the annual upgrade. But they have raised the pricing for a 2 version upgrade. They’re encouraging everyone to stay current for the latest software upgrades as well as technical support.

Other Features
