• Maintain Client’s Medisoft database on Medworks’ server, and provide real time access to the database (connected)
  
• Accept claims information from the client: either paper copy by fax or mail; or through computerized billing system (unconnected)
  
• Submit confirmation reports to client on transactions received for editing and claim submission
  
• Edit claims for non-clinical errors prior to submission to carrier
  
• Electronically submit approved, edited claims to carriers accepting electronic submissions from the clearinghouse
  
• Edit and transfer to paper those claims not submitted electronically and mail to carriers via first class
  
• Report any rejected, edited claims with reason stated for each claim rejection, reprocess claim and promptly resubmit to carrier
  
• Record and track reimbursements against individual patient ledgers. Client responsible for forwarding copies of all EOBs and patient payments received
  
• Follow up on any claims not paid in a timely fashion and resolve technical issues. Correction of claims not paid for clinical reasons are the Client’s responsibility
  
• Billing to secondary insurers with services
  
• Balance billing to patients with services
  
• Provide report of receivables activity with monthly invoice
